Everything you need to know

The newly-revamped 2022 Tour is ready to go. The season starts on September 3 and runs until December. Here are the key details:

The Tour will feature two “Challenges” one Final Four and Julius Baer Challenger Championship for a total of four events. The Challenges will each be two-day, round robin tournaments, the Final Four will bring the top 4 players (Julius Baer Challenge Champion, Julius Baer Challenge Runner-Up, Magnus Academy Challenge Champion, Magnus Academy Challenge Runner-Up) together and Julius Baer Challenger Championship will be a match between Challengers Champion 2021 vs Challengers Champion 2022. All tournaments will be played in blitz format with all games played on chess24.
